Midnight Masquerade

One Brand New Prom Dress with the tags still on, in the correct size. Craigslist for 1/3 of the retail price. Check.

One Sparkly Pair of Heels-Check.

One pair of gold chandelier earrings. Check.

One Prom Program-Check.

And the Mount Kilimanjaro of my tasks....

2 Large Chandeliers-Check. (Please note, the pictures don't do these justice. Cameras just don't translate glittery goodness very well.)

Lessons learned:
-Hula Hoops by themselves can not handle the weight of beads--even plastic ones. However, place the hula hoops on top of old umbrella bones and it's like magic.

Sometimes your imagination does not do structural engineering.

Less is never more when it comes to bling.

And when a dog has to go potty, he'll find you anywhere to let you know. (Even if you are trying to take an artsy picture laying on the floor underneath your newly created chandeliers.)

Tomorrow is decorating day at the high school and Saturday, yep, the big day. I'll share more soon......

Beginnings of the Life Soundtrack

Been pretty quiet over here--just busy. Life, you know. That and I haven't been practicing the "No" word as much as I should be.

Music has the power to cure anything, so for now I'll just leave you with the start of the soundtrack of my life:

Get a playlist! Standalone player Get Ringtones

Promise I'll be back soon...taking another artist class but I've yet to start any projects. This week I have to devise a way to create 3, (yes, 3) 4' chandeliers for Little Miss's prom. I'll share when I'm done.

In the meantime, create your own life playlist---sing your favorite at the top of your lungs. It's better than wine... well, almost.
